mailed Notice of Public Review and Request for CommentsRE: New Gasoline Station at 1611 S. Blosser Road, Santa Maria (NAPHT LLC)NAPHT LLC has applied to the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) for a permit to build a new gasoline station at 1611 S. Blosser Road in Santa Maria. The annual throughput applied for is 6,050,000 gallons per year. Before our agency issues this permit, State law requires that we notify you, since you are either the parent/guardian of a student attending Liberty Elementary School or are a resident or business located within 1,000 feet of the site. This project has already been approved by the City of Santa Maria. As part of the APCD’s evaluation of this proposed gas station, we have used a state-approved computer model to assess the potential health risk created by the project’s emissions. Our modeling analysis, which is conservatively health protective, shows that the expected emissions from this installation will be below any levels that would create a significant air toxic risk to public health and the environment. We are providing you an opportunity to review and comment on this proposed permitting action. Further, prior to issuing the final permit, we will submit to the permit’s administrative file our written responses to any comments we receive during the comment period. A copy of the draft permit document (Authority to Construct 12453) is available for review on this website by clicking on this link: Draft Permit File (PDF) The draft permit may also be reviewed at APCD offices at the following locations: 260 North San Antonio Rd, Suite A, Santa Barbara and 301 E. Cook St, Suite L, Santa Maria. Please provide any comments to us within 30 days of the receipt of this notice at the address below (Attn: Michael Goldman, 961-8821). Sincerely, Michael Goldman, Manager Engineering & Compliance Division Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District 260 N. San Antonio Rd. Suite A Santa Barbara CA 93110 Mailed July 1, 2009
