The Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District will hold a public
hearing to consider adoption of the proposed 2004 Clean Air Plan and
certification of the Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SCH No. 9103045)
for the 2004 Clean Air Plan.
Summary
The Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) has prepared a
Draft 2004 Clean Air Plan and associated Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact
Report. As required by the California Clean Air Act, the 2004 Clean Air Plan
provides a three-year update to the 2001 Clean Air Plan. Previous plans
developed to comply with the California Clean Air Act include the 1991 Air
Quality Attainment Plan, the 1994 Clean Air Plan, and the 1998 Clean Air Plan.
The 2004 Clean Air Plan includes previously adopted air pollution control
measures and newly proposed and further study emission control measures. The
2004 Plan is not required to address any Federal Clean Air Act requirements. The
2004 Clean Air Plan will be submitted to the California Air Resources Board for
approval.
Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the APCD has
prepared a Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SCH No. 91031045) for the
2004 Clean Air Plan.

The Draft 2004 Clean Air Plan and Supplemental Environmental Impact Report are
available at public libraries in Santa Maria, Buellton, Lompoc, Goleta, Santa
Barbara, UCSB, on the APCD website on this page and at the following
