2010 Clean Air Plan and Final Environmental Impact Report

Thursday, January 20, 2011 - Approximately 1:30 p.m.
Board of Supervisors Hearing Room
511 East Lakeside Parkway
Santa Maria, California 93455

The Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District (District) will hold a public hearing to consider adoption of the proposed 2010 Clean Air Plan and certification of the Final Environmental Impact Report for the 2010 Clean Air Plan.

Summary

The District has prepared a 2010 Clean Air Plan (2010 Plan) and associated Final Environmental Impact Report.  As required by the California Clean Air Act, the 2010 Plan provides a three-year update to the 2007 Clean Air Plan and will be submitted to the California Air Resources Board for approval.  The 2010 Plan demonstrates that Santa Barbara County has attained the state one-hour ozone standard, and outlines strategies for expedited attainment of the state eight-hour ozone standard. It includes air pollution control measures that were previously adopted, measures proposed for future adoption, and measures identified for further study.  The 2010 Plan is not required to address any Federal Clean Air Act requirements.

Pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act, the District has prepared a Final Environmental Impact Report (SCH No. 2010071014) for the 2010 Plan.
