Southern California Gas Company - La Goleta Facility

La Goleta is located in the city of Goleta and purchases California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) quality natural gas from regional oil and gas producing companies.  The gas is transferred to La Goleta via pipelines where it is compressed, cooled and stored in an underground depleted gas reservoir.  During times of heavy demand the gas is withdrawn from the reservoir, de-sanded, dehydrated, odorized and routed to pipelines.
