Airborne Toxics Control Measures

For more information about the APCD's Air Toxics program, see Air Quality/Air Toxics

The California Air Resources Board (ARB) has promulgated Airborne Toxic Control Measures (ATCMs) for several source categories. Each ATCM is codified under Title 17 of the California Code of Regulations and is available on the ARB website http://www.arb.ca.gov/toxics/atcm/atcm.htm.

When the state adopts an ATCM, the APCD can either implement the state ATCM or adopt a local rule consistent with the ATCM. The following table shows the rules the District has adopted for corresponding ATCMs.
